Built for carrying out low current measurements, the Extech 380950 is able to measure both AC and DC current from a range of 4A up to 80A with 1mA resolution and accuracy of ±(2.5% + 5d).
The 380950 features built-in jaws with small opening, allowing the tester to be used in much more difficult applications and to clamp around thinner wires securely. The jaws open to 0.5" (12.77mm).
In addition to current measurement the 380950 can also be used to carry out AC and DC voltage testing from 400mV to 600V, resistance measurements from 400Ω to 40MΩ, frequency from 5Hz to 10Mhz and duty cycle from 5 to 99.9%. This means this device is both a digital clamp meter and a digital multimeter all rolled together into one comprehensive unit.
The Extech 380950 is EN 61010-1 compliant and CAT III 600V safety rated.
