More than just a standard temperature meter, Extech's HT200 uses a combination of readings to determine exactly how hot it feels outside, and is ideal for measuring heat index on hot, humid days to prevent heat stroke in applications such as sporting events, road/building construction, outdoor activites or in other workplaces.
A built-in capacitance sensor allows the Extech HT200 to measure wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT), black globe temperature (TG), relative humidity (%RH), air temperature (TA), wet bulb (WT) and dew point (DEW). A separate heat stress index mode is also included; this measures exactly how hot it feels when humidity is combined with temperature, air movement and radiant heat.
The HT200 includes many additional settings such as an In/out function which displays WBGT values with or without direct sun exposure, the ability to set high and low alarms and internal memory storage for up to 50 readings.
