The Extech CG206 is a handheld, portable tester for measuring the thickness of a coating on various types of surface.
Suitable for use with both ferrous and non-ferrous materials (with automatic recognition of the material type), the CG206 is suitable for measuring automotive paint thickness, quality/inspection and monitoring of the process of anodising and galvanising. for use by paint manufacturers, painting inspectors, painters and anti-corrosion painting contractors and for use by machine tool manufacturers, in the pipeline industry and for aeronautical applications.
Testing with the Extech CG206 is completely non-destructive - simply place the sensor on the material and it'll automatically recognise the type of material before providing you with an accurate measurements of coating thickness.
There are many additional benefits to the CG206 including memory storage for 1500 readings (30 group reading), zero point calibration and the ability to connect the thickness tester to a PC using USB connection for further analysis using software.
