This compact, easy-to-use moisture meter is an ideal purchase for building professionals and tradesmen who want to test either building materials or wood for moisture content.
A pin-type moisture meter, the 7250's built-in pins should be touched against the material being measured. It'll then display a moisture reading as a percentage and will illuminate a LED colour scale (green for ok, amber for warning and red for damp). An example of this is shown on the image to the right.
The 7250 includes five different measurement scales to cater for different material types:
- Scale 1 - Wood 1 (W1): 6.0 to 40.0%
- Scale 2 - Wood 2 (W2): 8.0 to 40.0%
- Scale 3 - Plaster (P1): 0.1 to 15.0%
- Scale 4 - Concrete (C1): 0.5 to 12.0%
- Scale 5 - Linear or Reference (Lin): 0 to 1000*

*Linear/Reference is a general scale of moisture measurement used for all materials and is listed to cover materials which are not covered by the scales 1 - 4. This scale can also be used to compare the material under test to a known dry sample.
The pins at the top of the 7250 are entirely replaceable should they become damaged. The meter is supplied as standard with a zip wallet and 50 spare pins so you can easily replace them as and when needed.
