The FilesThruTheAir EL-WIFI-21CFR-TC Wi-Fi Thermocouple Data Logger is equipped with a type-K thermocouple probe with a 1.5m cable, allowing it to measure temperatures between 0 and 200°C / +32 and +392°F. Readings are streamed to the FilesThruTheAir 21 CFR Cloud (monthly subscription required) via Wi-Fi.
The FilesThruTheAir EL-WIFI-21CFR-TC Wi-Fi Thermocouple Data Logger can be used with a number of other thermocouple probes, allowing the user to adjust the instrument’s temperature range to suit the application. For instance, it can be used with alternative K-type thermocouple probes to measure temperatures between -200°C and +1350°C / -328°F and +2462°F. It is capable of measuring temperatures within the following ranges when used with type-J and type-T thermocouples:
A connection to the user’s chosen Wi-Fi network and the FilesThruTheAir 21 CFR Cloud is established during configuration. The data logger is configured using FilesThruTheAir’s free 21 CFR Wi-Fi Sensor Software (NOT included). This software can also be used to program the FilesThruTheAir EL-WIFI-21CFR-TC Wi-Fi Thermocouple Data Logger to include high and low alarms. When either the upper or lower alarm limits are breached the data logger will alert the user via an alarm indicator.
If the connection to the FilesThruTheAir 21 CFR Cloud is interrupted, the FilesThruTheAir EL-WIFI-21CFR-TC Wi-Fi Thermocouple Data Logger will continue to record temperature measurements (for a maximum of thirty days when the sample rate is set to 10 seconds) until communication with the 21 CFR Cloud is re-established.
Further to this, once the FilesThruTheAir EL-WIFI-21CFR-TC Wi-Fi Thermocouple Data Logger has been connected to a Wi-Fi network it can be placed anywhere within its range.
The FilesThruTheAir EL-WIFI-21CFR-TC Wi-Fi Thermocouple Data Logger’s compatibility with the FilesThruTheAir’s 21 CFR Cloud makes it suitable for integration into 21 CFR compliant systems. The 21 CFR Cloud allows the user to monitor, manage and configure multiple FilesThruTheAir EL-WIFI-21CFR-TC Wi-Fi Thermocouple Data Loggers, as well as maintain compliance with standards detailed in the 21 CFR Part 11. Using the 21 CFR Cloud, the user can perform the following tasks:
The FilesThruTheAir EL-WIFI-21CFR-TC Wi-Fi Thermocouple Data Logger is, therefore, suitable for temperature monitoring applications in FDA-regulated industries, such as in the food and drug production sectors.
