The FilesThruTheAir EL-USB-VAC Vaccine Monitoring Temperature Data Logger pairs the FilesThruTheAir EL-USB-TP-LCD Temperature Data Logger with a 3.0m, type-A glycol bottle thermistor probe, making it suitable for monitoring the internal temperatures of vaccines.
The immersion of a thermistor probe in a glycol bottle, calibrated at 2°C and 8°C, mimics the conditions of vaccines and thereby facilitates the user’s ability to measure and monitor the internal temperatures of vaccines as opposed to the ambient temperatures of refrigerators. The FilesThruTheAir EL-USB-VAC Vaccine Monitoring Temperature Data Logger has a measurement range of -40 to +60°C (-40 to 140°F) with an accuracy of ±0.1°C (±0.2°F) and can be used to log up to 32 000 measurements.
Measurements can be viewed to a resolution of 0.1°C (0.2°F) via the high-contrast LCD display. The FilesThruTheAir EL-USB-VAC Vaccine Monitoring Temperature Data Logger also features a push-button that allows the user to cycle through the most recent, minimum and maximum temperature readings detected.
Data can be downloaded to the user’s PC via plugging the FilesThruTheAir EL-USB-VAC Vaccine Monitoring Temperature Data Logger into a USB port. Once downloaded, data can be graphed, annotated, printed or exported using FilesThruTheAir’s free EasyLog EL-WIN-USB Software. This software is capable of exporting in Excel, PDF and jpeg formats; it can also be used to configure the FilesThruTheAir EL-USB-VAC Vaccine Monitoring Temperature Data Logger.
Using this software the user can assign the logger a name; select the logging rate (sample rates range from every second to every 12 hours) and measurement unit (°C or °F); program high and low alarms, as well as set the FilesThruTheAir EL-USB-VAC Vaccine Monitoring Temperature Data Logger to begin recording immediately or with a delayed start. For a quick introduction to configuring the data logger using the free EasyLog EL-WIN-USB Software, please see the following video.
