Crowcon Triple Plus+ Multigas Personal Monitor with IR Sensor – Pumped Description
In addition to performing pumped sampling the Crowcon Triple Plus+ Multigas Personal Monitor with IR Sensor can also detect gases in circumstances which would prevent a catalytic pellistor sensor from operating.
The IR sensor is resistant to the poisoning effects of high concentrations of gases; it is also capable of functioning in inert environments and areas with low oxygen concentrations. These sensors are both resilient and have a long life, making them very cost-effective.
IR sensors are available in single or dual measurement models: dual measurement models measure hydrocarbons in % LEL and % vol, making these sensors suitable for use when tank or line purging. Alternatively, IR sensors which measure CO2 between 0-5% are also available.
This instrument’s interchangeable gas sensor modules (non-IR) further extends the Crowcon Triple Plus+ with IR Sensor’s scope for use, whilst its robust physical design ensures it can be used in a variety of industrial environments. To this end, the Crowcon Triple Plus+ Multigas Personal Monitor with IR Sensor – Pumped features a Triax™ casing which prevents the monitor from shattering or cracking when dropped; a unique internal design which resists harsh treatment and is also fully buoyant.
It is intrinsically safe and includes a selection of flammable gas correction factors, a confidence blip and low battery indicator. This instrument can be calibrated with or without a PC as a result of its simple Windows™ software interface and also features a QuickCal function for fast calibration.
The Crowcon Triple Plus+ Multigas Personal Monitor with IR Sensor – Pumped puts practicality, the accuracy of measurement and user safety at the forefront of its design. Therefore it features a Time-Weighted Average warning, ensuring that users are not exposed to dangerous gas concentrations over the duration of their shifts; as well as an audible 85dB alarm and a visual, LED light alarm which both indicate to the user when hazardous levels of gas have been detected.
Finally, the Crowcon Triple Plus+ Multigas Personal Monitor with IR Sensor – Pumped has the capacity to perform timed data logging over the course of one-hundred hours. Data logged by the monitor can be annotated to include the user’s name and the name of the site, allowing the user and/or manager to easily monitor and/or record information from multiple sites. Users' names and site names can be selected from pre-configured files in the unit.
