Crowcon Triple Plus+ Multigas Personal Monitor with IR Sensor – Non-Pumped Description
The Crowcon Triple Plus+ Multigas Personal Monitor with IR Sensor – Non-Pumped has a greater scope for use as a result of its IR sensor.
The IR sensor ensures that the Crowcon Triple Plus+ Multigas Personal Monitor remains functional even in areas with low or non-existent oxygen concentrations; situations in which a traditional catalytic pellistor sensor would be unable to perform effectively. IR sensors are also highly functional in areas with high-gas concentrations as they remain un-poisoned by the surrounding gases.
These sensors are available with single or dual range measurements and so are able to detect hydrocarbons in %LEL and % vol, alternatively, IR sensors which detect CO2 between 0-5% are also available. The IR sensor’s extensive measurement capabilities help to make the Crowcon Triple Plus+ Multigas Personal Monitor with IR Sensor suitable for applications such as tank and line purging.
Further to this, the IR sensor is resilient and has a long life, reducing the frequency with which the user will have to replace it, thereby lowering the cost of ownership.
Like the Crowcon Triple Plus+ Personal Gas Monitors, which do not feature an IR sensor, this model also contains unique LIBRA lithium-ion battery technology. Similarly, the Crowcon Triple Plus+ with IR Sensor also emits a visual LED light alarm (located at the top of the instrument), and an audible 85dB alarm when the instrument detects hazardous levels of gases. It too features a Time- Weighted Average warning ensuring that the user is not exposed to dangerous gas concentrations over the course of his/her shift.
Further to this, it is easy to keep track of data gathered by these units across a number of sites as these instruments are capable of logging data for one-hundred hours; data which can be annotated to include the user’s name and the name of the site. It is possible to pre-configure users’ names and site names to the unit in order to facilitate quick and easy selection.
The Crowcon Triple Plus+ Multigas Personal Monitor with IR Sensor – Non-Pumped also features a number of other functions which work to maintain both the user’s safety and the accuracy of the instrument’s detection. It features a QuickCal function for fast calibration and a simple Windows™ software interface, which allows the user to calibrate the gas monitor with or without connecting to a PC.
Additionally, this instrument’s low battery indicator and confidence blip both help to keep the user informed of the monitor’s level of functionality.
The Crowcon Triple Plus+ Multigas Personal Monitor with IR Sensor – Non-Pumped is intrinsically safe and includes a selection of flammable gas correction factors. It also features a crack and shatter resistant Triax™ casing; a unique internal design which resists harsh treatment and is fully buoyant, ensuring that it can be recovered from water easily should the need arise.
These physical features combined with the Crowcon Triple Plus+ Multigas Personal Monitor’s interchangeable gas sensor modules and IR sensor capabilities mean that this instrument can be used across a wide variety of industrial sites.
