This version of the Crowcon Detective+ comes with equipped with an infrared (IR) sensor, allowing it to measure methane (CH4), oxygen (O2), hydrogen sulphide (H2S) and carbon monoxide over a wider measurement range. The IR sensor is also immune to poisoning effects that standard flammable gas sensors can suffer from.
Ideal for use in everywhere from confined spaces to offshore platforms, the Crowcon Detective+ constantly monitors the environment to detect rises/falls in gas content and will alert the user to this happening by using a loud, 104dB alarm and clustered LED indicators all over the instrument's body.
You can use just one of the Detective+ units to monitor gasses, but the instrument really comes into its own when used with a Detective Net Wireless Module (sold separately) and another Detective+. By doing this, data can be transmitted wirelessly up to 100m away to the other instrument, creating a comprehensive gas monitoring network where each attached Detective+ sounds alerts simultaneously (ideal for quickly finding problems!). Up to 25 Detective+ instruments can be connected in this way.
The following video outlines the ways in which this function can be used.
The Detective+ is also ATEX approved for protection against accidental combustion and comes with either pumped/non-pumped sensor (choose which you'd prefer when ordering this product).
