An extremely effective tool for use in industrial scenarios, testing in confined spaces, mesh networking and anywhere else where there's a risk of gas buildup that could be harmful to personnel, Crowcon's Detective+ is a transportable gas measurement tool that constantly monitors the environment and alerts the user to gas presence.
Capable of wirelessly interfacing with other Detective+ units (requires the use of DetectiveNet modules - sold separately), multiple Detective+ detectors can be set in a comprehensive network to monitor gasses. When this is done, a unit that picks up on rises in gas content in the air will transmit data simultaneously to other Detective+ units up to 100m away, allowing the user to determine easily where the gas leak has taken place and ensure that the area isn't entered without protective equipment or until the gas is siphoned away. This wireless networking function is particularly useful for confined spaces in order to assess whether they are suitable for entry. Up to 25 Detective+ units can be connected together.
This version of the Detective+ is specially configured to detect the presence of four gasses: methane (CH4), oxygen (O2), hydrogen sulphide (H2S) and carbon monoxide (CO). It features special fixed legs with a raised sensor for improved accuracy, a protective frame and also has both audible and visual alarms.
