The IW3000 Infrared Thermal Window from ViPIRS allows you to use a thermal imaging camera to test inside electrical cabinets and other systems without having to open up live machinery.
Not only does this protect the user from the damage that can be caused by electrical components that are still live and being assessed using a thermal imaging camera, but it also helps comply with the recommendations of NFPA 70e which outline the steps taken to remain safe when using this kind of equipment.
By using a thermal camera through the IW3000, the technician using the camera can see through the window into the electrical cabinet, allowing them to see whether any areas are outputting too much heat and are malfunctioning. Since turning off the power would stop the heat output, the window makes sure that problems are identified as the electrical power is still being supplied safely to the cabinet.
The ViPIRS IW3000 IR window is capable of working with any thermal imaging camera and has a thickness of 2mm. The window also has a HydraGuard coating for extra protection and is compatible with shortwave IR, midwave IR, longwave IR, ultraviolet, visual and fusion.
As standard this product comes with installation instructions, an installation drill template, a ViPIRS Instruments Access Key and fixing screws.
