The Chauvin Arnoux PEL112 Power & Energy Logger is an electricity monitoring tool with three voltage and three current inputs capable of logging electrical parameters over several months and breaking down energy losses. Designed specifically for use in cold rooms (down to -20°C), the PEL112 is a compact, magnetic unit without a display. It can be installed without cutting off the mains supply and is self-powered via the phase.
Designed to determine and analyse useful, unbalance active, harmonic active, non-active, reactive, distorting, and apparent energy, the PEL112 includes the following measurement capabilities and functions:
Extensive measurement ranges are facilitated by voltage and current ratios. Furthermore, automatic recognition of the connected sensor type makes measurement easier and more efficient.
Data and calculated results are saved to the removable SD card.
PEL Transfer Software can be used to configure the PEL112, as well as analyse data and create reports. In addition to facilitating unit set-up; verifying connections before testing; and enabling result download, the PEL Transfer Software:
As a result, you are provided with all the precise, relevant information needed to make informed decisions about prioritising corrections.
Chauvin Arnoux’s Android app allows you to perform motor diagnostics and view the PEL112’s connection to the electrical network.
Data transfer and real-time monitoring are facilitated by the Chauvin Arnoux PEL112’s communication interfaces:
Optimised for low temperatures, the PEL112 is perfect for cold rooms. However, it can be used in a range of locations across an array of sectors, including:
As such the Chauvin Arnoux PEL112 can be used for the following applications.
Energy Audits | Voluntary (ISO 50001, etc.) or mandatory operation aiming to reduce energy consumption: buildings, housing, infrastructure, equipment, etc. |
Implementation of measurement campaigns focused on energy for comprehensive diagnosis of the electrical installation |
|
Identification of the causes of overconsumption by the equipment or overbilling |
|
Preventative & Predictive Maintenance | Industrial equipment monitoring |
Analysis of consumption due to the air-conditioning, ventilation and heating systems |
|
Sizing of a power factor correction cabinet
Redistribution of the loads on the electrical grid
+ Motor diagnostics: measurement of a motor’s speeds, efficiency and torque without using mechanical sensors |
As a comprehensive energy monitoring tool, the Chauvin Arnoux PEL112 Power & Energy Logger can help businesses optimise and control their energy consumption, thereby helping them save money.
