Chauvin Arnoux's CA1227 is more than just a standard anemometer for measuring air speed and flow rate - this is also a datalogging anemometer, allowing you to log and track how air speed and flow changes over a period of time.
The Chauvin Arnoux CA1227 has a flexible vane sensor which is equipped to the main body of the meter by a coiled cable - in practice, this allows you to insert the vane sensor (or hold the sensor) in a specific area while you view results on the screen in your other hand. Alternatively you can set the meter to record, leave the item for a while and view the results back on your PC at a later date.
Air speed measurement can be measured from 0.25 to 35.0m/s (49.0 to 6890.0fpm) in switchable units of m/s, km/h, fpm and mph and the CA1227 anemometer can also calculate flow rate from 0.00 to 2.999m³/hour in selectable units of m³/hour, litres per second and cfm. The CA1227 is also a thermo-anemometer and can calculate the temperature of the air from -20 to +50°C.
When logging data, the start and spot time can be configured using the free software on your PC. It can record more than 1 million points of data and you can set a start and end date as needed, along with recording interval (from 1 minute to 2 hours) all on the software package. After logging, a MAP function can be used to map the air speeds measured, or you can view back results on a comprehensive graph to chart how they change over a period of time.
If you want to leave the CA1227 to log over time, you can easily mount it in place using the built-in magnet in the case, or the wall-mounting system with slot on the back for suspending the instrument in place.
