Highly robust, simple to use and capable of clipping directly into an insulated pole, this CATU detector is used for alerting a user to the presence of high voltage from 10 to 30kV on electrical installations such as overhead lines.
When voltage presence is detected a bright red LED light will shine on the detector and it will also emit a powerful audible signal that can be easily be heard down on the ground by the person holding an insulated pole.
To ensure accuracy over time this detector includes a built-in testing function that evaluates the tester's efficiency. It's also highly resistant to the effects of the environment and is designed to withstand impact, vibration and moisture damage.
This detector is made for use with CATU's CE-4-21 and CE-75 poles. It is available with your choice of either C or type K connectors.
