C.Scope DXL3 Cable Avoidance Tool with Depth Measurement

The C.Scope DXL3 Cable Avoidance Tool is a cable location instrument suitable for identifying and tracing buried services; to this end, it features three detection modes. Additionally, the C.Scope DXL3 Cable Avoidance Tool includes a Depth Measurement function for measuring the depth at which pipes and cables have been buried.

The C.Scope DXL3 Cable Avoidance Tool is a robust, industry-standard, ‘pick-up-and-go’ tool designed to locate buried services quickly and reliably. It can be used by itself or in conjunction with the C.Scope SGA3 Signal Generator.

Three Detection Modes

To ensure maximum detection of buried services the C.Scope DXL3 Cable Avoidance Tool is equipped with three detection modes. Upon detection, the C.Scope DXL3 Cable Avoidance Tool will issue a real-time audible alert. Relevant data, such as the signal strength, selected mode, battery condition and depth measurement, is displayed on the LCD meter.

Power

The Power mode is designed for locating buried electricity cables by detecting signals generated by an electrical current. The Power mode provides the quickest way of detecting electricity cables.

Radio

The C.Scope DXL3 Cable Avoidance Tool’s Radio mode detects re-radiated radio signals that are often present on metal pipes and cables. As a result, their position can be determined using only the C.Scope DXL3 Cable Avoidance Tool.

Generator

When set to Generator mode, the C.Scope DXL3 Cable Avoidance Tool can detect the signal applied to a metal cable or pipe using the C.Scope SGA3 Signal Generator. Additionally, this mode can be used to identify and trace the signal being emitted by a C.Scope Sonde placed in a non-metallic pipe.

Depth Measurement Function

Furthermore, when set to Generator mode the user can utilise the Depth Measurement function to determine the depth at which pipes and cables have been buried. The button for Depth Measurement is easily accessible on the top of the C.Scope DXL3 Cable Avoidance Tool.

This robust cable locator is fully weatherproof to IP65. The C.Scope DXL3 Cable Avoidance Tool has been designed to include storage space for spare batteries, an LCD meter, a retractable loudspeaker and easy-to-use fingertip controls.
