With a hat-trick of announcements from NAPIT, the Solid Wall Insulation Guarantee Agency (SWIGA) has now recognised the competence body for its quality and surveillance framework.
Steve Tanner, General Manager of SWIGA, affirmed: “NAPIT has met our requirements and now adheres to our solid wall surveillance standards. This recognition opens up significant opportunities to all NAPIT members that have PAS 2030 certification to secure SWIGA membership. This means that four certification bodies now have a framework recognised by SWIGA for their robust approach to solid wall insulation.”
Michael Andrews, NAPIT group chief executive added: “With the Green Deal opening up new opportunities for installers of energy efficient measures such as solid wall insulation, SWIGA’s independent verification of NAPIT's standards is one more reason for consumers and specifiers to choose a NAPIT Certified Installer.”
SWIGA is a not-for-profit organisation with a robust Quality Assurance Framework which provides consumer protection and an independent 25 year guarantee for solid wall insulation (SWI), covering external, internal and hybrid wall insulation. It helps members access new opportunities that will be available under the Green Deal and Energy Company Obligation. SWIGA now has over 140 members including the major national SWI companies.
Membership of SWIGA is open to solid wall insulation installers and System Certificate Holders. For more information about SWIGA please contact Steve Tanner at SWIGA Steve.Tanner@swiga.co.uk
