Protimeter BLD7750 Hygromaster 2 Thermo-Hygrometer Description

The Protimeter BLD7750 Hygromaster 2 Thermo-Hygrometer features a selection of highly accurate, fast responding sensors which facilitate its ability to measure air temperature, surface temperature and relative humidity.

It includes an infrared temperature sensor for conducting non-contact measurement and has a temperature range of -20°C to 80°C. Additionally, as standard, the Protimeter BLD7750 Hygromaster 2 Thermo-Hygrometer is supplied with a Hygrostick sensor. This module is optimised for performing high-range relative humidity measurements and has a range of 30 to 100% RH. The Protimeter BLD7750 Hygromaster 2 Thermo-Hygrometer is therefore suitable for measuring the equilibrium relative humidity of concrete floors.

Using the measurements acquired via these two sensors, the Protimeter BLD7750 Hygromaster 2 Thermo-Hygrometer can determine a variety of psychometric calculations, thereby extending this product’s scope-for-use. It can be used to monitor air quality, as well as HVAC equipment and dehumidifiers.

It also includes an automatic logging function which can record up to 6100 results to the Protimeter BLD7750 Hygromaster 2 Thermo-Hygrometer’s internal memory. In addition to the 6100 logged results, this instrument's expansive memory can accommodate up to 8000 manually saved results with date and time stamps.

Results and test functions can be accessed using the Protimeter BLD7750 Hygromaster 2 Thermo-Hygrometer’s simple-to-navigate interface. Its colour display also adds to this thermo-hygrometer’s ease-of-use.

Protimeter Surveymaster Dual Moisture Meter Description

The Protimeter Surveymaster Dual Moisture Meter can be used to perform penetrative and non-penetrative moisture measurements. These two methods of measurement can be utilised to determine the moisture content of materials and the level of moisture behind materials, such as ceramic tiles and vinyl or wooden floors.

The Protimeter Surveymaster Dual Moisture Meter features two measurement modes:

Measure Mode

This mode is designed for penetrative measurements and is of particular use when ascertaining the moisture content of materials. Using the Protimeter Surveymaster Dual Moisture Meter’s two pins the user can measure the actual percentage moisture content of wood (%MC) which is displayed on the meter’s LCD display alongside the wood moisture equivalent of concrete, drywall and a variety of other materials. The Protimeter Surveymaster Dual Moisture Meter has a measurement range of 7.9% to 99% when used in this mode.

The Protimeter Surveymaster Dual Moisture Meter’s scope-for-use can be extended when used with OPTIONAL hammer electrodes or deep wall probes. This enables it to measure the moisture level of materials at greater depths, making it suitable for helping to determine the cause of moisture problems in properties.

Search Mode

Search mode enables non-invasive / non-penetrative moisture measurements. When used in this mode, the Protimeter Surveymaster Dual Moisture Meter utilises radio signals to measure relative moisture to a depth of up to 20mm. It has a range of 70-999 REL in this mode.

Search mode is ideal for determining the level of moisture behind or beneath a tiled or covered surface.

When used in either of these modes the Protimeter Surveymaster Dual Moisture Meter is not affected by the presence of condensation or other surface moisture. Further to this, in order to ensure the reliability and accuracy of this meter, it features a reset reading for re-adjusting the sensors’ sensitivities.

As indicated above, measurements are shown on the Protimeter Surveymaster Dual Moisture Meter’s large, backlit, LCD display. This display is synchronised with the LED scale that runs down the side of the meter. This scale will give an immediate, colour indication of the material’s moisture condition. If the scale shows a red light the material is damp; if it shows a green light the material is dry; and if a yellow light is visible the material contains moisture and is bordering on dampness.
