The Protimeter TimberMaster BLD5609 Standard Moisture Meter is Protimeter’s newest moisture meter and can be used to measure moisture levels in wooden products.
This damp meter has been optimised for use in the timber industry and features eight built-in wood calibration scales for one-hundred and fifty wood species across the globe. Moreover, the Protimeter TimberMaster BLD5609 Standard Moisture Meter is recommended by the UK Timber Grading Committee (UKTGC). The UKTGC recommend that this product is used to perform all moisture checks on timber structures compliant with BS 4978 or BS EN 519 requirements.
In order to perform these tests, the Protimeter TimberMaster BLD5609 Standard Moisture Meter utilises two, non-invasive, ¾ inch (19mm) pin electrodes and eight calibration scales. These features, as well as the moisture meter’s nine built-in species groups, work to provide the user with accurate measurements for a wide variety of wood species. In addition to this, the Protimeter TimberMaster BLD5609 has a large measurement range: 7-99.9%.
As this product has been optimised for use in the timber industry its design has also been tailored for this environment. The Protimeter TimberMaster BLD5609 has a rugged, robust outer casing and is compact in size, whilst its large LCD display means that readings can be easily seen.
The Protimeter TimberMaster BLD5609 Standard Moisture Meter, as previously noted, is extremely versatile and can be used to perform moisture level tests on an eclectic range of wood species, making it the perfect product for builders and surveyors. However, this product’s usage can be extended when used in conjunction with a telescopic hammer electrode or temperature probe. When used in conjunction with telescopic hammer electrode (not included), this product can detect sub-surface level moisture. When used with a temperature probe (not included) the Protimeter TimberMaster BLD5609 Standard Moisture Meter can measure moisture levels in wood significantly above or below 20°C/ 70°F, and will automatically alter the moisture reading to compensate for the variation in temperature.
The Protimeter TimberMaster BLD5609 Standard Moisture Meter has a large scope for use, making it a cost-effective, versatile and UKTGC-recommended product.
