The Beha-Amprobe AT-6010-TE Transmitter issues a signal through wires/ cables that is detected by the Beha-Amprobe AT-6010-RE Receiver (sold separately), allowing the user to trace and locate wires, breakers and fuses behind walls, ceilings and floors. Please see the video below for an introduction to Beha-Amprobe’s AT-6010-EUR Series of Wire Tracing Tools.
The Beha-Amprobe AT-6010-TE Transmitter is suitable for use on energised and de-energised circuits up to 600V AC/DC in Category I-III environments. This means that energised circuits may be mapped/ traced without taking equipment offline.
The Beha-Amprobe AT-6010-TE Transmitter’s High mode is intended for general tracing applications whilst its Loop mode is designed for locating shorts. Additionally, the Beha-Amprobe AT-6010-TE Transmitter features two tracing frequencies, 6kHz (energised) and 33kHz (de-energised), which are automatically engaged based on the detected voltage.
When used in conjunction with the Beha-Amprobe AT-6010-RE Receiver, the Beha-Amprobe AT-6010-TE Transmitter can be used for the following applications:
- Tracing energised and de-energised wires
- Identifying breakers and fuses
- Finding breaks and opens
- Finding shorts
- Tracing wires in metal conduits
- Tracing non-metallic pipes and conduits
- Tracing shielded wires
- Tracing underground wires
- Tracing low voltage wires and data cables
- Sorting bundled wires
- Mapping circuits with test leads
- Tracing breakers on systems with light dimmers
Moreover, when used with the Beha-Amprobe CT-400-EUR Signal Clamp (NOT included), the Beha-Amprobe AT-6010-TE Transmitter and Beha-Amprobe AT-6010-RE Receiver can trace closed circuits as well as map circuits that do not have bare conductors.
The Beha-Amprobe AT-6010-TE Transmitter is a simple yet versatile tool suitable for a range of tracing, mapping and locating applications.
