The BAUR Protac® Cable Sheath Fault Locator - Step Voltage Set is a cable fault and cable sheath fault locator. This fast and precise cable fault locator utilises the step voltage method to locate cable sheath faults and faults caused by earth contact. Please see the following video for an introduction to BAUR's series of Protac® Cable Fault Locators.
The BAUR Protac® Cable Sheath Fault Locator - Step Voltage Set consists of a CU control unit, two SVP probes and two SVP cables. The BAUR Protac® Cable Sheath Fault Locator will automatically set the measurement parameters depending on the environmental conditions and will automatically calculate and display the distances to and from the fault in real-time. The BAUR Protac® Cable Sheath Fault Locator will also indicate the fault history: the previously measured values for that fault.
Additionally, the BAUR Protac® Cable Sheath Fault Locator – Step Voltage Set can be used with the BAUR Fault Location App (NOT included). This app utilises cable route data from GIS databases in the Baur cable fault location system, the precisely pre-located fault position in the map, and geographic information to increase efficiency.
For further information regarding the BAUR CU Control Unit included in the BAUR Protac® Cable Sheath Fault Locator – Step Voltage Set, please see the following key features.
