BAUR PGK25 DC High Voltage Tester (25kV)

The BAUR PGK25 DC High Voltage Tester is a compact, mobile and versatile high-voltage (up to 25kV) tester with negative polarity. It is ideal for testing paper-insulated, mass-impregnated cables and electrical equipment in medium-voltage networks. The BAUR PGK25 DC High Voltage Tester can perform tests according to the following standards:

• On-site testing of paper-insulated, mass-impregnated cables: IEEE 400-2012 and IEC 60060-3
• Voltage tests on electrical equipment: IEEE 62.2 and IEEE 95
• Cable sheath testing: IEC 60502/ IEC 60229 and VDE DIN 0276-620/621

The BAUR PGK25 DC High Voltage Tester will conduct voltage measurements directly at the HV output and features two continuously variable DC voltage ranges:

• 0 to 5kV
• 0 to 25kV

Additionally, the BAUR PGK25 DC High Voltage Tester includes an integrated ammeter with five measurement ranges spanning 1µA to 10mA. It also features an integrated timer for setting test times between 1 minute and 30 minutes. When used with an OPTIONAL external curve tracer the BAUR PGK25 DC High Voltage Tester can record current measurements in relation to time.

At the end of testing, the BAUR PGK25 DC High Voltage Tester’s integrated discharge unit will switch off automatically. The BAUR PGK25 DC High Voltage Tester’s discharge resistance is designed for maximum discharge energy of 5000J. Furthermore, the BAUR PGK25 DC High Voltage Tester includes a switch-on interlock which prevents accidental operation.

The BAUR PGK25 DC High Voltage Tester is optimised for mobile applications and to this end features a small, solid design and weighs just 16.5kg. It is powered using the integrated 12V rechargeable battery. Alternatively, it can be powered using an external 12V supply or mains supply allowing the user to adapt the BAUR PGK25 DC High Voltage Tester to suit his/her requirements/ situation.
