Beha-Amprobe's PRM-6 is designed to test the motor rotation of 3-phase systems and to verify 3-phase repectable wiring and phase sequencing using test leads.
Once attached to a system, the PRM-6 provides clear synchronous or asynchronous motor rotation direction, complete with any errors found such as missing phase, or one input connected to neutral or PE. It even works if a motor is disconnected - you can spin the shaft by hand or other means and the PRM-6 will still pick up on the phase direction.
This is one of the only phase rotation testers available on the market which includes a completely non-contact, wireless motor rotation detection facility with absolutely no need to use test leads. This mode is particularly useful for use on fast-running motors where the rotation can't be visually determined, or applications where the drive shaft might not be visible.
