This clamp meter is the upgraded version of the Beha-Amprobe AMP-210 - it's basically identical to its little brother, but this meter includes the ability to measure both AC and DC current (the AMP-210 can only measure AC). The jaws of this model are also slightly larger and can clamp around wires up to 35mm diameter.
Designed for use by professional electricians, Beha-Amprobe's AMP-220 is a true RMS, high accuracy digital clamp meter with built-in multimeter capabilities. By using this clamp, you'll be able to test both AC and DC current to 600A by clamping around a wire, or use the included test leads to test other parameters such as AC/DC voltage, precision low current, frequency, continuity and capacitance.
The AMP-220 is optimised for different electrical conditions - the True RMS function ensures AC measurements remain accurate even on noisy circuits, while the low pass filter function can be used for current and voltage measurements on variable frequency drives. Working with extremely low currents? Use the Amp-tip function for precise low current measurements of small diameter wires down to 0.1A (ideal for electrical troubleshooting).
Additional functions of this clamp meter include autoranging (it'll automatically default to the correct measurement range), a relative zero function, MAX/MIN/AVG measurement calculations, data hold function which will freeze the current screen and a useful built-in backlight for use in darkened conditions.
