The 30XR-A is a manual ranging digital multimeter that can be used to measure DC voltage, AC voltage, DC current, AC current and resistance levels. It's a great multimeter for basic testing scenarios and all electrical engineers should find a use for the 30XR.
As well as the aforementioned testing procedures the 30XR-A is also equipped with a non-contact voltage detector, allowing users to quickly and easily check that live voltages are not present on a system before hooking up the DMM. This detector can be used on voltages up to 600V AC.
The 30XR-A comes as standard with a Magne-Grip holster which allows users to attach the DMM to a wall or other surface and carry out testing procedures without actually holding the multimeter. Other additional features include a 1.5V/9V battery test under load, MAX/MIN measurements, data hold, a rotary dial for selecting testing procedures and a digital LCD display for relaying testing information.
The 30XR-A also contains four ports for the attachment of leads.
