Equipped with three high-performance, equal-power outputs, support for a range of interfaces and various additional features, the ergonomic and easy-to-use Aim-TTi MX100T Triple-Output DC Power Supply is a flexible PSU suitable for an array of applications. For a quick introduction to Aim-TTi's MX series of Multi-Output DC Power Supplies, please see the following video.
As mentioned above, the compact, comprehensive design of the Aim-TTi MX100T Triple-Output DC Power Supply makes it suitable for a variety of applications including:
All three of the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply’s outputs are independent, isolated and of equal power (105W). They are able to provide 35V/3A; please see the table below for an overview of the power ranges available for each channel.
Output 1 | Output 2 | Output 3 | |
Range 1 | 35V/3A | 35V/3A | 35V/3A |
Range 2 | 16V/6A | 16V/6A | 70V/1.5A |
Range 3 | - | 35V/6A* | 70V/3A* |
Note | * = subject to another output being disabled (shared power mode) |
Multiple range combinations provide the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply with maximum flexibility. All of the channels support range switching allowing them to provide 70V/ 6A. Each of the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply’s outputs also supports CI and CV operation, OVP/ OCP trips, high-resolution metering and switchable remote sensing.
In addition to this, the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply includes a Shared Power mode which combines the outputs internally to provide a total power output of up to 210W (as either 35V/6A or 70V/3A) via a single channel.
Mixed-mode regulation ensures that the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply is able to provide performance close to that of an all-linear PSU. It combines a high-frequency switch-mode pre-regulation with linear post-regulation.
Mixed-mode regulation equips the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply with an impressive power density, excellent line and load regulation, low noise and good transient response.
Enabling the user to set voltage and current parameters accurately is the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply’s five-digit setting and metering display with a resolution of 1mV or 0.1mA.
The Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply features an illuminated keypad and a control knob both of which can be used to set the required parameters. The illuminated keypad also facilitates the user’s ability to access and adjust other settings and functions.
Once parameters have been configured, the user can secure the front panel by pressing the Lock key, preventing accidental alteration. Alternatively, to protect against accidental and/or unauthorised alteration, the user can secure the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply using a password of his/her choice. Password-protection is particularly useful when integrating the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply into a fixed system.
As all three of the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply’s outputs are independent and isolated, the PSU is able to support voltage tracking: the voltage on one channel automatically tracks the voltage of another channel.
Voltage tracking allows the user to set equal voltages of the same or opposite polarity and allows him/her to make adjustments to multiple outputs’ voltages by changing the master output (provided the outputs have been wired in series or parallel).
All three of the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply’s outputs have variable over-voltage and over-current trips; these trips will disable the output when triggered and provide a different level of protection.
Additionally, each of the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply’s outputs can accommodate current meter averaging which is particularly useful when measuring rapidly changing loads. Current meter averaging stabilises the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply’s display and reduces the speed and degree of variation by showing an average reading calculated from several measurements.
Data for all of the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply’s outputs is indicated simultaneously on the large, graphic display. Using the Display mode, the user can view data for the selected channel in larger digits; this mode also allows the user to view and alter the selected output’s range, OCP, OVP, current meter averaging and fifty setting stores.
Each of the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply’s outputs has a dedicated memory with the capacity to store up to fifty settings including parameters such as range, OVP and OCP. This enables settings to be recalled and implemented quickly and easily.
The Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply also includes an additional memory for saving up to fifty settings pertaining to multi-output combinations.
All three of the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply’s channels feature a dedicated On/Off switch. The Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply also includes Multi-On and Multi-Off buttons which, as default, activate or deactivate the channels simultaneously.
It is possible to re-program the Multi-On and Multi-Off buttons to engage or disengage selected outputs in a specified order. The Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply’s Multi-On and Multi-Off buttons are particularly useful when working on circuits that may be damaged if only one voltage rail is present or if voltage rails are not provided in the correct sequence.
The Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply has been ergonomically designed to ensure suitability for bench and rack-mounted applications. To this end it is compact: the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply is housed in a half-rack width by 3U high case which takes up minimum bench space and enables two Aim-TTi MX100TP units to be mounted into a single rack space. Please note that an OPTIONAL rack mount kit is available, please call for details.
Moreover, as the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply includes front input ventilation, additional space around the PSU is not required. The Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply is also equipped with an intelligent fan controller for monitoring ambient temperature and power loading.
Also adding to the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply’s suitability for rack-mount applications is its output and remote sense terminals located on both the front and rear of the unit.
In addition to including front and rear output and remote sense terminals, the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply differs from its sister product, the Aim-TTi MX100T Triple-Output DC Power Supply, in that it includes support for USB, LAN (supports LXI), RS-232, and GPIB interfaces.
Additionally, the Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply includes an IVI-driver for Windows which supports high-level applications such as LabView, LabWindows and Keysight VEE.
The Aim-TTi MX100TP Triple-Output DC Power Supply is an ergonomic, easy-to-use PSU with an eclectic selection of features and interfaces, as well as three equal-power outputs.
