Aim-TTi HA1600A Power and Harmonics Analyser – UK/Schuko/USA Plug

Aim-TTi HA1600A Power and Harmonics Analyser

The Aim-TTi HA1600A Power and Harmonics Analyser is an efficient, easy-to-use harmonics and flicker analyser that can also be used as a mains analyser. It can measure power, voltage, current and phase angle.

Intended primarily for harmonic and flicker compliance quality measurements, the Aim-TTi HA1600A Power and Harmonics Analyser is also equipped with a UK, Schuko or USA power connector/ plug to enable general-purpose mains analysis according to relevant national standards. Please see the table below for an overview of the models available.

SKU Name Power Connector/ Plug

58360-0660 Aim-TTi HA1600A PQA with Schuko Plug Schuko Power Connector
58360-0670 Aim-TTi HA1600A PQA with USA Plug USA Power Connector

Additionally, the Aim-TTi HA1600A Power and Harmonics Analyser features a large, high-resolution graphical display for continuous real-time analysis, as well as a printer interface for record-keeping and archiving, and RS-232 and USB interfaces for connection to a PC. The Aim-TTi HA1600A Power and Harmonics Analyser is also supplied with Aim-TTi’s HA-PC Link Plus Software (see below).

High-Performance Power Analyser

The Aim-TTi HA1600A Power and Harmonics Analyser is an accurate and fast AC power analyser. It can analyse single-phase loads up to 16 amps RMS and will measure watts, VA, volts RMS, volts peak, amps RMS, amps peak, crest factors, THD, power factor, frequency and inrush current.

Readings for multiple parameters are visible simultaneously on the large display. The user can also view graphical representations of voltage and current waveforms.

To provide a wide dynamic range, the Power and Harmonics Analyser includes dual, 16-bit analogue to digital converters that will continually sample both the voltage and the current. It also includes advanced algorithms to provide accurate results, and a fast Digital Signal Processor to enable real-time analysis.

Additionally, dual power cables mean the supply to the load can be kept independent of the supply to the instrument. The mounted mains connector (UK, Schuko or USA) on the front panel supplies the output to the load.

Compliance-Quality Harmonics Analyser

It can measure harmonics between the 1st and 40th quickly and simply. Tabular and histogram displays of the harmonics are updated in real-time.

Using a normal mains supply, the Aim-TTi HA1600A Power and Harmonics Analyser is suitable for conducting pre-compliance measurements. In addition to this, when used with Aim-TTi’s AC1000A Low Distortion Power Source, the Aim-TTi HA1600A Power and Harmonics Analyser can be used to conduct full compliance measurements in accordance with EN61000-3-2.

It is compliant with the 1995 and 2000 versions of the EN61000-3-2 standard and provides continuous monitoring of the supply voltage, continuous automatic calculation of harmonic limits, and supports timed test sequences with analysis of fluctuating harmonics.

Compliance-Quality Flicker Meter

The Aim-TTi HA1600A Power and Harmonics Analyser functions as a compliance-quality flicker and fluctuations meter. It is compliant with EN61000-3-3 and EN61000-4-15.

Long-term (Plt) and short-term (Pst) flicker severity can be measured using the analysis periods defined in various national standards. It will also perform a full analysis of voltage variations which includes calculation of the maximum value dmax, the difference between steady states dc, and the change of characteristic d(t). It includes an option for a current measurement method which eliminates the need for a reference impedance. This method can be used as an alternative to voltage measurements.

Aim-TTi HA-PC Link Plus Software

This Windows-based software can be used to assist with taking routine compliance measurements and archiving the results. It features RS-232 and USB interfaces.
