The Aim-TTi CPX400SP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is a flexible laboratory power supply with a maximum power output of 420W, maximum voltage output of 60V, and maximum current output of 20A.
PowerFlex Design
The Aim-TTi CPX400SP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s PowerFlex design provides variable voltage and current combinations within the maximum power envelope. It enables higher currents to be generated at lower voltages. The output can operate in constant voltage or constant current mode with crossover and includes a mode indicator, as well as over-voltage protection.
Additionally, to provide a good transient response and low noise, the PowerFlex regulation system includes a high-frequency pre-regulator which operates in conjunction with a linear post regulator.
Analogue Control with Digital Stability
Current and voltage levels are set using simple analogue controls; the Aim-TTi CPX400SP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply features coarse and fine voltage controls and a logarithmic current control for setting low currents accurately. To prevent drift and/or accidental alteration, the Aim-TTi CPX400SP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply includes an S-Lock button which transfers control of voltage and current from the analogue dials to the internal digital circuitry. Settings can be viewed and altered as required using the View Settings button.
Precision Metering and Remote Sense
The Aim-TTi CPX400SP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s voltage and current meter has a four-digit display and a fixed resolution of 10mV/ 10mA. The fixed resolution prevents the misreading of results which is common when using auto-ranging 3/3.5-digit meters and allows the user to see accurate and consistent readings at a glance.
The Aim-TTi CPX400SP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply also includes a remote sense terminal at the output to enable precise regulation at the load and true metering of the load voltage. The remote sense terminal can be enabled and disabled as required.
Fixed Power Supply
The Aim-TTi CPX400SP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply includes a Fixed Power Supply mode. When engaged this PSU can be used as a fixed power supply at 60V/7A or 20V/20A. The Fixed Power Supply mode ensures that the Aim-TTi CPX400SP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply remains in constant current or constant voltage mode despite the load and improves the resolution of the voltage and current controls.
Further to this, the Aim-TTi CPX400SP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply includes an option to customise the voltage and current limits, allowing the user to set the PSU to cover the exact range required. This improves the ease of setting up the Aim-TTi CPX400SP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply and reduces the possibility of error.
Ergonomic Design
Compact (housed in a ¼ rack width 3U high case) and equipped with power and sense terminals on both the front and back of the unit, the Aim-TTi CPX400SP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is ideal for use on crowded laboratory benches and for rack-mount applications.
The Aim-TTi CPX400SP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply also features support for RS-232, USB, LAN (LXI) and GBIP interfaces, enabling digital remote control. The digital bus interfaces provide full control of voltage, current and output on/off, as well as read-back of voltage, current and status. This PSU also includes an IVI driver for Windows enabling support for high-level applications such as LabView, LabWindows and HP/ Agilent VEE.
Finally, the Aim-TTi CPX400SP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply includes safety binding posts capable of accepting normal plugs, bare wires and fork connectors as well as fixed-shroud 4mm plugs. The limited opening length and raised insulated shoulders ensures the binding posts are touch-proof up to 250V.
The Aim-TTi CPX400SP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is a versatile, easy-to-use and precise fixed and flexible power source unit.

Independent Mode | In the normal mode of operation, each output is fully independent and isolated. Operation is equivalent to two single output power supplies. |
Voltage Tracking Mode | The two outputs remain isolated, but the Slave voltage controls are disabled and the Slave voltage is set equal to the Master voltage. This can be used to generate tracking bipolar voltages, or tracking unipolar voltages relative to different grounds. When voltages greater than 60V are required, the outputs can be wired in series to generate 0 to 120V with the voltage controlled from the Master. When currents greater than 20A are required, the outputs can be wired in parallel to create the equivalent of a 40A power supply with the voltage controlled from the Master. Track Accuracy: Slave voltage = ± (0·1% of Master voltage setting + 10mV) |
