The Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is a flexible laboratory power supply system with a PowerFlex design.
The Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply has a total power output of 840 Watts, 480W per channel. The Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply also has a maximum voltage output of 60V and a maximum current output of 20A per channel. The PowerFlex design provides variable voltage and current combinations within the maximum power envelope. As a result, higher currents can be generated at lower voltages.
The PowerFlex regulator utilises a high-frequency pre-regulator in combination with a linear post regulator to provide a good transient response and low noise. Each output can operate in constant voltage or constant current mode with automatic crossover and mode indication.
The Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s two channels are independent and electrically isolated from one another, enabling greater flexibility.
Additionally, the Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply includes a V-Track mode; when engaged the voltage control of the master output sets an identical voltage on the slave output whilst maintaining electrical isolation. Using this mode, the operator can create two rails of either polarity to be referenced to different grounds.
Alternatively, voltage and current outputs can be extended to 120V and 40A when the Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s outputs are wired in parallel or series.
Each of the Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s outputs features an On/Off switch. In addition to this, the PSU also includes a Both On/ Both Off switch for simultaneously activating and deactivating both channels; this is particularly useful when working on circuits that can be damaged if only one of the voltage rails is present.
In addition to functioning as a flexible PSU, the Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply can be used as a fixed range power supply at either 60V/7A or 20V/20A. It also includes an option for customising voltage and current limits, allowing the user to tailor the Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply to suit the application. Programmable limits also reduce the possibility of error.
Similarly, the Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s S-Lock works to reduce the possibility of error as it transfers the control of voltage and current from the analogue controls to the internal digital circuitry. The Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply combines the ease and simplicity of analogue control with the stability of digital operation.
Each output has a separate voltage and current meter with a four-digit display and a resolution of 10mV/ 10mA. The fixed resolution prevents misinterpretations common on auto-ranging 3/3.5-digit meters and allows the user to view accurate, consistent readings at a glance.
Further to this, the Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply's outputs both include coarse and fine voltage controls and a logarithmic control that enables low current levels to be set accurately. The user can see and adjust settings at any time using the View Settings button.
To ensure precise regulation at the load and true metering of the load voltage, the Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply includes remote sense terminals at each output. The remote sense terminals can be enabled and disabled as required.
Additionally, each of the Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s outputs includes over-voltage protection.
The Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s compact design ensures that it has a small bench footprint which is particularly useful when working on crowded laboratory benches. Additionally, the half-rack by 3U case size means two Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supplies can be fitted in a single rack slot.
The Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply also features power and sense terminals on both the front and rear of the unit. Rear terminals are particularly useful during rack-mount applications.
Additionally, the Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply supports a number of digital interfaces including RS-232, USB, LAN (LXI) and GPIB enabling digital remote control. Each of the digital bus interfaces provides full control of voltage, current, and output on/off, as well as read-back of voltage, current and status.
Other practical features present on the Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply include safety binding posts capable of accepting normal plugs, bare wires and fork connectors, as well as fixed-shroud 4mm plugs. The binding post’s limited opening length and raised insulated shoulders ensures they are touch-proof up to 250V.
Finally, the Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply also includes an IVI driver for Windows which is capable of supporting high-level applications such as LabView, LabWindows and HP/ Agilent VEE.
The Aim-TTi CPX400DP Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is an ergonomic PSU capable of providing fixed and flexible outputs as well as accurate and reliable readings.
