The three standard models listed above vary in terms of their size and therefore the length of their pin codes, for example:

• 165/20 and 165/30: 3-digit code
• 165/40: 4-digit code

As a result, these padlocks offer slightly different levels of security:

• 165/20 and 165/30 are optimised for low-level security applications, involving items of a low value and/or at low risk of theft
• 165/40 is optimised for medium-level security applications which involve items of a medium value and/or which are at average risk of theft

All of these padlocks are composed of a brass body and steel shackle. Furthermore, all the ABUS 165 Brass Combination Locks’ pin codes can be reset by the user allowing him/her to tailor the padlock to his/her needs.

This combination of features makes the ABUS 165 Brass Combination Locks ideal for securing bags, suitcases, jewel boxes, cash boxes, cupboards, lockers, toolboxes, basement windows, and switchboards.
